John Tomich the Noble Energy Cyprus Director expressed his optimism on Tuesday the 1/11/2011 that the drilling in plot 12 of the Cypriot EEZ will be successful.

Tomich in speach organised by the Cyprus University did not give an exact date about the time frame of drilling but made it clear that soon gas will start flowing and Cyprus will have a big benefit from it similar to that of Israel.

For Cyprus the benefits can include savings in the electricity generations in the region of billions of euros and the Cyprus government will attract significant revenues for a significant number of years and perhaps decades.

The Cyprus government will soon start the procedure for giving a second plot for drilling.
