Tourist Information Kiosks in Larnaca |
|
Larnaca is leading the way as the first town on the island to operate interactive, touch-screen outdoor information kiosks that will provide visitors with all the information they need to enjoy the town and its surrounding villages.
The sleek infokiosks boast a 32” screen, are two metres tall and 0.25cm wide. Four infokiosks have been strategically placed in high-volume visitor areas; one along the promenade (Phinikoudes), one at Saint Lazarus Square, and two along the Larnaka-Dekeleia Road, at points in the villages of Pyla and Voroklini. Another one will be placed in the picturesque village of Lefkara by the end of October 2011. The infokiosks offer a plethora of interesting and useful information on what sites to visit, which cultural events are coming up and the different restaurants and cuisine the town offers - all in six different languages. As the infokiosks can be used 24-hours a day, access to all the information is readily available at any time.
They are quick and easy to use, so if you see one along your travels, stop and have a go, you never know what you might discover about Larnaka and its district!
